BLACK GIRLS DIVE FOUNDATION

Black Girls Dive Foundation (BGDF) is a designated 501c(3), volunteer-based, educational non-profit organization founded in 2017 in Maryland. BGDF is an innovative aquatic-based STEM organization that inspires and empowers young girls historically excluded and underrepresented in the science space to explore their STEM identities. BGD Scholars are trained in SCUBA and scientific diving, underwater photography and videography, and drone and underwater ROV operation.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

BDF didn’t have a clear marketing and branding message. Pages had poor design and layout. Black Girls Dive Foundation (BGDF) wanted to update the BGDF website, organize pages, update and change the layout of the home page and website pages, and create a user experience website with easy navigation.
Black Girls Dive Foundation had 71 pages.

SOLUTION

  • Responsive web design for multiple devices

  • Website Design in Squarespace

  • Changed overall the look and feel of the website, changed page order and layout.

  • Review and redesign 72 pages’ website

  • Reduced the number of pages for easy navigation and create a better user experience.

  • Storytelling using powerful graphics and professional images

  • Make it easy for users to find the information using home page content as a navigation

  • Add the BGDF social media pages, Facebook and Instagram Feeds, and YouTube videos to the website.
